I need some cropped leggings that are thick enough that knickers won’t be seen through them and I want a t shirt. Preferably loose fitting and long enough to cover my bum as leggings and bums aren’t that flattering! Thanks.

Tesco. Buy patterned ones so there's no no chance of seeing your pants!

TK Maxx often have the big brands reduced. I also like the Sainsburys range for tops.

DisaL · 01/10/2019 13:16

Lucy Locket Loves for leggings, they are amazing. Be warned though, they become an addiction Grin

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 01/10/2019 13:22

I keep trying different cheaper brands however I always come back to Nike. Whilst you're looking at £35/45 a pair they last ages, are completely squat and stretch safe, wash well and can handle lots of sunshine without any of the tech qualities of the fabric being affected I'm wearing a pair right now that I've had for three years and worn weekly in that time and they still look good and fit well.

Tops I'm happier to go cheap. I got some lovely Puma vests from Wiggle a few weeks ago for about £6 each in their sale so I'd recommend watching there when you need to stock up.

Decathlon.

Although I've bought some amazing mountain equipment leggings recently - super stretchy thick material, they're fab. Quite expensive though. I have the orange ones, which will not be for everyone but they're superb. I want a pair of the blue ones next!

Thanks all. I will get searching. Thanks for the link @AskMeHow however, that’s a bit more than I can afford 😢

i use the USA Pro range at Sports Direct for capri leggings and LA Gear long line vest tops. All black but I sweat so much I don't want to risk any embarrassing shapes on a lighter colour!! The leggings are usually 2 pairs for £20-25 and the tops are £8-10 each. They wash really well and as I go to the gym at 5am to work out and don't really give a damn what I look like its plenty to spend on gym clothes (even if I HATE lining Sports Direct's pockets )

Fallstar · 01/10/2019 14:02

Second the recommendation for USA Pro leggings. There are lots of colours/patterns, they're fairly cheap and they don't show your pants.

Bloomburger · 01/10/2019 14:04

Reebok have an outlet bit on their site which has great value leggings.

If you get ones with a gusset you don't wear knickers underneath.

MinesaPinot · 01/10/2019 14:12

My favourites are from Primark and Sainsburys Tu.
