Going from 2 to 3 children?

Mine are 4.5 and 6 and we are considering a 3rd. This would be our last. Going from 1-2 was fine for me personally, but the few I have spoken to have said 2-3 is much harder? How did you find it?

It nearly killed me Grin

1-2 was grand. 2-3 nearly broke me.

BUT, mine were much younger than yours will be. Will both of them be in school if you have number 3? Probably a very different kettle of fish at that point.

I found 1-2 hard, really hard.
2-4 (had twins) very easy in comparison.

Be wary, according to TAMBA, the most common time to have twins is when your adding a third and you get a surprise forth.

Would you like another 2 OP?

This.
It was so much easier and simpler with two. Love DD3 so much but my god she’s hard work.

I found 1-2 much harder than 2-3 but I’ve got a much smaller gap between mine.
There’s no secret - it’s down to being organised and forward thinking. I’d much rather be over prepared than under.
Also, accepting that it’s going to be hard work for a while as everyone gets used to the new dynamic. Accept all offers of help!

It broke me! I had 3 under 5, I grabbed a healthy redundancy package with both hands and gave up work for 5 years. I did have very good child care but physically, it was too demanding.

So far (DC3 is 9 weeks old) I've found 2 to 3 easier than 1 to 2. We had a bigger gap this time though - there's 21 months between DC1 and 2 and 33 between DC2 and 3. What I have noticed this time is that we'd started to leave the baby stage and its restrictions behind (like mostly not needing a buggy) and now we're back in it again...
