I've started to get random white patches in random places on my body.

I've attached a few examples, not a great reflection of it due to the light.

On my back I now have little pinpricks of completely white skin Confused

No change in skin texture, the areas don't hurt or feel any different.

Would you visit the GP with this or AIBU?

Seems like there isn't really an alternative.

Yes if I had this I would make a routine appointment to get it checked out. It's probably nothing but they are the experts.

I wonder if it's fungal?
either way I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have lots of white spots on my skin where there's no pigmentation
I'm sure my DD had something simiar to you years ago & it was nothing

Google vitiligo.

How about asking a pharmacist first? If it is change in skin tone and texture then I think the correct answer is yes get checked it will probably be nothing, perhaps a practice nurse might advice?

The thought of vitiligo gives me bloody nightmares Sad

Have you been in the sun over summer? Areas of skin that have been overexposed to UV can stop producing melanin and lead to spots of depigmentation. .

Boots do a skin scanning service. About 60quid , a pharmacist carries it out and a consultant dermatologist reports on it within 2 days. Absolutely excellent service, check on Boots to see if it's in your area? Any issues you can bring report to your GP for a dermatology referral then.
