Much as I hate to be the party pooper – and I'm quite sure the comments come from people for whom hurting anyone is unimaginable and it's just cartoon violence – I don't think this is a great time to be making jokes about sticking the knife in etc.

@perkingfaintly I'd agree were it genuine threats of violence and not clearly against a cake, and were it not for Bojo's inexcusable response to the request in parliament to mind violent language for the reasons you mentioned

Much like Brexit, he can't have his cake and eat it.
