To be tearing my hair out - I want a cigarette!

So, I got flu last week and it wiped me out. I went to bed on Friday evening and basically didn’t leave until Wednesday morning. I was “dying” 😆
I’ve not had a cigarette since last Friday evening, until Thursday this was really easy because I felt so ill.
It’s now Friday and I’ve had a couple of glasses of wine and I just want a bloody cigarette!
There is NO way that I’m letting a week smoke free go like that, do any of you have any tips? I’m going all out cold turkey at the moment but think that tomorrow I need to get a spray or something to help me.
Thanks in advance.

Right get yourself on t'internet and find something you really really want for £200 and next Saturday BUY IT!!!

Seriously though speaking from experience the wine/ cig association was really strong and the only way I could break it was to have one glass of wine a night for a week with no cigarette.

Titchy you are right and that’s why I had wine this evening. But fuck me it’s difficult! I’m at home with no other influences and it’s ridculous.
Oh well, onwards and upwards and no nicotine in sight here.
When I wake up tomorrow I’ll be like, fuck off smoking! It’s that easy....... NOT!

You can do it. Just think £200 could buy you a night in a five star hotel.

Well done! A week is a great start. You could download a quit smoking app. That can be quite motivating.

Read Allen Carr's Easyway to stop smoking. Buy the book or download from Amazon I stopped after reading it 15 years ago. I haven't had a single cigarette since then and I really don't miss it. It changes the way you think about smoking. It really works. Good luck.

I stopped in December when I had a cold but decided to just do social smoking and that is working so far, I don't go out often though so I smoked in August on holiday and once in july on a night out, I will smoke. On a night out in October, and have a night out in November planned and work Xmas night in December. Am thinking of getting a vape for the social smoking.

Allen Carr. I never bought the book but googled 'Allen Carr stop smoking' 6 years ago and read some excerpts online. It encourages you to reset how you think of smoking. For times of desperation I bought one of those cheap e-icgs you can get at your local newsagent and only used it when I was really struggling. It conked out around the same time the physical cravings for nicotine were largely gone.

Buy the Allen Carr book The Easy way to Stop Smoking and read it. It's very motivating. I stopped immediately and easily after reading it.

I was going to say Allen Carr but a few people beat me to it
