To ask for help with this dress?

I have fallen in love with this dress for a wedding but I need something to wear with it like a jacket for warmth and I cannot think of what would work. If I can't find something I think I'll have to freeze and wear it on its own. Please help!

I was thinking white (faux) fur but this might be a risky choice.
