AIBU to never have expected that brushing the knots out of my hair would be classed as a 'treat'?

As a direct result of now being mother to both a despotic toddler and a newborn, I have developed an attractive, ever-growing tangle in the depths of my barnet that there is simply no time to tackle. Each new day as I frantically whip the brush around the rest of my hair in the 1.79 seconds that my children have generously allocated me for personal grooming, I suddenly remember that I have still not faced The Beast. At this rate I predict I will have to shave my head by the time Dd1 starts school.

Yes I expected long-haul travel and the dream of early retirement to go out of the window, but this? To help me feel less ridiculous can I ask what other unexpected and shameful consequences of parenthood have befallen others?

Shaving my legs! This is something I did religiously as I hate hate hate the feeling of hairy legs. Unfortunately my hair is too fair for any permanent Since becoming a mum 6 weeks ago I haven’t managed to do it once and it’s driving me mad! I can also count on one hand the amount of showers I’ve had since the birth Confused

Not getting to use a hand dryer for the best part of six years. Both DC hate them and are terrified by them, so I wipe my hands on my jeans. Still it helps clean child grime off them without running the washing machine.
