AIBU to think this is an unreasonable way to talk to someone?

I have recently been offered a very good job vs where I am now. With great benefits & a much better salary.

Co-worker has asked me:
Am I starting from the bottom to work my way up??

To which I said no this is exactly where I want to be. This isn't the sort of job they give to anyone...

I don't know if she's jealous or what but wouldn't the natural response to be to congratulate someone?
