DH believes in fairies (& other mythical creatures)

After years of confusion I have finally found the answer to many questions, my husband must believe in fairies! More specifically the ones who move dirty clothes from the floor to the wash basket, to the washing machine, dryer or washing line, and returns them to the wardrobe folded... must also be this little creature who puts dirty dishes in the dishwasher and back in the cupboard clean!

Other creatures he must think exist:

The Utility Unicorn - who every year makes sure we are enjoying the best tariff

The MOT Mermaid - who ensures cars are booked in for MOT & servicing before expiry

The Scum Serpent - who cleans throughout the house!

I’m sure he would also believe that Santa Claus fills the stockings each Christmas except he sees the credit card bill!

Think you may be onto something there! It's also the needing to be psychic because obviously you should know he was thinking about doing xyz and should have put the bits needed in the car. Confused

Stop raising him he's not your son.

In all seriousness I love this comic sums up the relationship with my ex perfectly

I hope this works - it’s my favourite video ever
LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 22/09/2019 16:34

Why do so many women put up with this shit? Stop being a doormat.

Thereblegeopart · 22/09/2019 16:38

My exh was like this - completely dependent on me to run the household.

Your H is taking the utter piss.

confusedandemployed · 22/09/2019 16:43

D'you know what I dislike most about this kind of post? It's the pseudo-comic way women talk about their partners' idleness. I can see the light hearted eye roll from here, and I'm just waiting for the patronising "Men, eh!".
I think it minimises behaviour which should be unacceptable in this day and age.
Sorry to derail your light hearted thread.

Drabarni · 22/09/2019 16:43

Why do you put up with such a loser.
Tell him to get on with it and do his fair share, or continue enjoying being a skivvy Grin

SconeofDestiny · 22/09/2019 16:52

We have a tidy fairy in this house. It's called a DH.
I hate cleaning and tidying but will vacuum occasionally. Grin

Sux2buthen · 22/09/2019 16:55

@Duvetdweller thankyou. My favourite clip online, always has me in stitches Grin

DobbieFreeElf · 22/09/2019 17:03

@Duvetdweller Yes! This humour is exactly the way in which this thread was meant to be taken! Just some light humour for a miserable grey Sunday (spent with my fairy wings on sorting the house before the Monday mayhem begins!) Grin

@confusedandemployed, couldn't agree more. I've been single for 4 years and occasionally entertain the idea of a partner.

Then I listen to the women in my office talking about their man child husbands/boyfriends and fucking pink and blue jobs and I want to throw something at them.

It isn't funny. It isn't cute. It itsn't 'men eh'. Its regressive nonsense which makes excuses for the shitty way women are treated by men.

OhDearMe2019 · 22/09/2019 18:17

I don't find it humourous at all, I'm afraid. It is sad, unfortunately.

Duvetdweller · 22/09/2019 18:27

She does leave him in the above clip 😁

DobbieFreeElf · 22/09/2019 19:08

Nah, she fell on the table! Grin
