Does the job need you to be specific as to tone of your hair, or would black/brown/blonde etc be enough? In other words, could you be worrying too much about the type of (lovely, strawberry) blonde you are?

baldpate · 19/09/2019 19:34

It’s ginger

MaeveDidIt · 19/09/2019 19:35

Strawberry blonde - beautiful!

Janus · 19/09/2019 19:38

I’d say strawberry blonde too, if I could have any colour hair this would be it! I hope you’re not dying it? It’s beautiful.

MiniMum97 · 19/09/2019 20:36

Definitely not brown. It's either a pale ginger or strawberry blonde.

moonpiggle · 19/09/2019 20:41

Brassy.

Justgivemesomepeace · 19/09/2019 20:44

Id call that blonde. Id never describe that as light brown.

mumfrommanila · 19/09/2019 21:17

Thanks all.
Didn’t want to say it as I’m a bit ‘embarrassed’ by it but yes it’s for a certain modelling campaign and they want specific everything on the forms.
I’m going to put down strawberry blonde.

Your hair comments have been a bit of a self esteem boost (of course I didn’t start the thread for that purpose) but for someone who’s struggled with self image you’ve really helped as tbh no one in my real life has ever said anything like that!

Blonde

DexyMidnight · 19/09/2019 21:30

O.p. Agree strawberry blonde is best descriptor. The people saying 'ginger' are being pass ag (intentionally or otherwise) - 'ginger' hair is quite obviously different. You're neither a redhead nor have auburn hair. Strawb blonde is much more accurate.

Fwiw I hate the term 'ginger', even if someone assures me they're using the term as a compliment they know fine well it's commonly deployed as an insult. It's like calling an overweight person 'jolly' or a thin person 'lanky'.

Good to hear! I appreciate it can be used very innocently and with good intention but it is not a particularly kind descriptor. It's also not at all accurate - ginger is sandy/yellow?

I suppose it's like saying oh you've got mousey brown hair.

I know i am massively overthinking this Blush

IncrediblySadToo · 20/09/2019 08:32

Good luck getting the job!

On my screen it’s definitely blonde with a hint of strawberry but more importantly it looks very lovely, full & healthy!
