To think having a baby has made me incredibly thick?

It's true Blush

I've always been quick to get sarcasm, witty, clever, able to form great arguments etc. A great conversationalist.

But I've realised that I'm just incredibly thick now, and it is definitely since having my DC!

I don't seem to be able to have much general 'brain power' and I think I've academically lazy, very poor at getting the plot of detailed books I would get and enjoy in an instant before.

What's going on?!

Someone also asked me where the tea bags are in my house today and I said in the laundry basket. Am I for real?

I'm also really bad at number sequences now.

The worst one is proncouncing worlds completely wrong Sad

And then DH corrects me, I feel silly and then feel quite cross.

Something similar has happened to me too, I find it really hard to find the right words or phrases for things and struggle to do sinple maths in my head despite having done a physics degree. Thought it was just sleep deprivation at first but DC sleeps well now and it hasn't got any better!

Past Yes me too! And then I'll find the right phrase in my head but forget exactly how it's worded etc, and I often attempt it and embarrass myself by saying the wrong thing

Such as "Water off a duck's back" because "Water off a duck's snatch" or some such random rubbish

@TakeABreakAt12 definitely noticed I have become more and more scatter brained with each pregnancy! Unfortunately the scientific evidence (see link below) points to structural changes in a woman’s brain in the perinatal period that are probably responsible for this - not sure why more people don’t talk about this/warn you about this! www.nature.com/articles/nn.4458
