To not see the appeal in visiting Disneyland.

^^ as above. DS is 8 and DD is 4. Both my mum and mother in law are insistent that they and all children need a bloody trip to Disneyland Paris during their childhood. I would if they would fund it 🤣 (jokes)

I just can’t help think there are plenty of holidays we could enjoy. Somewhere less busy (neither me or DS like busy places). Neither children are massive Disney fans.

I went to Disneyland when I was a kid. I can’t really remember too much but I don’t have these magical memories from going. In fact, the opposite. We only went for a few days, it was such a rush to fit everything in, the queues were awful, it was freezing cold and probably wouldn’t suit our family. We prefer more chilled out Places.

Everytime mil comes over she reminds us to start saving for Disneyland!!

Disneyland is great if that’s what you wanna do and can afford it but my two would love a holiday chilled by the pool, a beach nearby and an amusement arcade.

Surely I’m not the only one who thinks that Disney trips aren’t necessary??

...the first time I went to Disneyland (Paris) I was over 30. My grandmother and great aunt wanted to take me and my brother to the Florida one when we were about 8 and 11. My parents said no as “it’s tacky” they suggested taking us to Washington but nan wanted to go to Disneyland so she did and we didn’t..... I’m still bitter.... 😠

I wouldn’t bother with Eurodisney. Florida is in a whole other league and if you were to go (which you don’t have to) I’d save for that and not Paris.

Never been to the Paris one but been loads to Florida one
Yes it’s an amazing place but it’s never as good as that first visit
We got fed up of it and stopped going

Crowds are horrendous
With no kids I much prefer a more laid back holiday

Thanks all. Disneyland is a magical place if it’s for you but I don’t think it’s for us. We don’t like anything too full on. Also both DC have additional needs and I don’t think they’d enjoy it.

We live near the beach already (a few miles away). We haven’t manage a holiday in a few years (not so much financially but managing it with DC). Both I’d love to go somewhere hot right next to a pool. Only because DS absolutely love the water and they’d stay in the pool for hours 🤣

OH was never taken to Disneyland despite his mother insisting we go. He doesn’t feel like he’s missed out or anything. I feel asking her why she’s so insistent when she never took Oh but took his much younger siblings when they were small? (He was an adult by this point).
