In London today with my grown up son on the way to airport. He got on the carriage as I was following him- a woman hurried to get off with her son about 6 or 7- whether it was the heat or too much dinner but he projectile vomited and I was covered- she didn’t say anything to me - probably too stressed or embarrassed .the doors closed and I am standing with sick in my hair, down my jumper, on my trousers and all over my suitcase. The floor was a bit grim as well.My son managed to get some tissues as he was turning green at the stench however some of the passengers were so lovely passing tissues and wet wipes up the carriage. It was just when others got on the next stop and complained about the smell and just looked at me. What a start to my trip.

That's the thing with using public transport, though. You are surrounded by The Public, which means there is a certain amount of risk that you will be puked on, sneezed on, groped, bored to bits by a random nutter talking at you, mugged or stabbed. Mostly you just get to where you want to go without bodily fluids or violence.

DS when about 18 months threw up on to his plate in a cafe, no warning just barf, whole meal returned to his plate.
We were staying at a small hotel, managed to clean his clothes but his comfort blanket was covered. Luckily my aunt lived nearby so was able use her washing machine, good thing or else nobody in the hotel would have slept that night.

While pregnant with my brother, my mum threw up in a bus. Then another passenger threw up at the sight (and smell). The bus had to be taken out of service....

But with a bit of luck, not all on the same journey, ReanimatedSGB. 😁

My son projectile vomited on a cross channel ferry. He span round in panic as he did so and sprayed the beautifully pedicured sandalled feet of a very fragrant woman. I just wanted to get him out of there as soon as possible in case he did it again.

I would absolutely freak at the child’s mother, absolutely disgusting.

Oh I’m sure that would have helped Confused

Drogosnextwife · 15/09/2019 01:35

How did he manage to get it in your hair if he was 6 or 7, was he a giant? 😂

Coyoacan · 15/09/2019 03:33

How horrible for you, the child and the mother, OP, but particularly for you.

You are surrounded by The Public, which means there is a certain amount of risk that you will be puked on, sneezed on, groped, bored to bits by a random nutter talking at you, mugged or stabbed. Mostly you just get to where you want to go without bodily fluids or violence

How interesting! I live in Mexico City and take the Metro nearly every day. In forty years, the only problem I've ever has been the groping. No bodily fluids or violence.

I honestly would have been severely traumatised by this and had some kind of break down OP. You are taking it so well!!!

NoSauce · 15/09/2019 04:37

Horrible.
You need a warning in the title though OP. There’s a lot of graphic details in your posts that even turn my stomach.
