Clearing out dc toys

My boys are ten and don't play with their toys so much, still lego and cats but not so much the other stuff. Also we have bags of teddies.
Am I being unreasonable to make them sort out their rooms and give me stuff they don't want to sell or charity shop? And should I give them 75% of what they make and save the rest for a treat out? My patenrs just got rid of my stuff and my dc want to hold onto everything but at some point its got to go. Dh is a bit of a hoarder too so am I fighting a losing battle?

*cats should be cars
Patners should be parents

I can't even begin to imagine why anyone would think that could be unreasonable, though I'd be inclined to give them all the proceeds.

Throwing their stuff out without asking is unreasonable, yes. Making them declutter is not. Houses are not elastic. They need to learn this now.

Of course that’s OK! You wouldn’t expect your kids to keep everything forever, would you? They’re not going to be playing with all the same things at 10 that they played with at 6.

Yes but I'd give them all of any money made. It's their stuff
