We are moving house soon from a rental to our first property and I’m really excited about decorating for the first time ever.
However I’ve realised we really don’t know what we like! I’ve looked on Pinterest but everything seems to be very similar so I wondered if it was cheeky to ask people to share pictures of their room or rooms they would emulate given half the chance?

Looking for inspiration :)

I won't post a pic in case it's outing but mine is simple. Light carpet, a solid maple bed from the natural bed company, light wood fitted cupboards (not maple but look v similar to the bed) and drawers that match. We have 2 windows & the room faces south east so it's light & airy. We have white & duck egg blue soft furnishings.

Ps massive envy of Venus room. Love that green so much if only I could persuade DH

There is a great thread on here asking for images of people’s bedrooms; then some posters starting using images of hotels not realising you can reverse search them Grin

I have white everything. I love it. I feels so calming.

White wooden floors, low, white bed, white bedding, white drawers, etc.

We have a tiny room off our bedroom that’s kind of like a second en-suite except it has hanging rails and floor to ceiling shelves and drawers.

I’m the ‘main’ room we have a big dresser, the bed and two bedside tables. The bed is an emperor size and we had a custom made headboard built which I adore. Kind of like this except in a dusty pink.

OP what direction does the room face? Our bedroom window faces north so it never gets strong sunshine and is always a little gloomy, even when it's a heatwave outside. DS's is at the opposite side facing south, so his room is always bright. It makes a huge difference...

Our bedroom was brown when we moved in and I'm sorry to say it's still brown Blush Really awful but there's so many other things I have to prioritise. Brown carpet, beige walls. Bah! So envious of Venus's room

Don't know what happened to my post, it may have ended up on a different thread Grin.

Our bedroom is duck egg blue, lightly patterned wall behind the bed, the rest are plain. Full length silk duck egg blue curtains with a delicate embroidery pattern, very light cream wool carpet and matching reclaimed dark wood bed, bedside cabinets, tallboy and huge chest of drawers. White bedding, each set we have is identical. We got an interior designer in when we were doing up the whole house as we had no clue where to start.

Ours is grey with white woodwork, and white IKEA Pax wardrobes (behind me when I took this photo). It's a very calm space. I chose the faux fur throw and faux sheepskin rug to add some texture. The fireplace was bright pink when we moved in and a labour of love to restore.

I went for something quite minimalistic and try to keep it clutter free.

@DontGoIntoTheLongGrass I love that colour scheme you have there
