To think that a man convicted of domestic violence shouldn't get a knighthood

Geoffrey Boycott

Racist, misogynist twat. Living proof that while not all Leavers are racist, most racists support Leave and a whole host of other unsavoury things. What a reason for voting Leave: 'I didn't like being found guilty in a French court after assaulting my girlfriend...'
Arsehole.

DontFeedTheCatCake · 10/09/2019 14:36

Just to be clear, my post that was deleted was arguing against InfiniteSheldon's post excusing domestic violence, not agreeing with it.

randomchap · 13/09/2019 16:48

The government cancelled the Domestic Abuse Bill when they prorogued parliament. They could have carried it through to the new session but decided not to.

This knighthood just confirms that the current Tory party do not care

YANBU OP. Disgusting.

FYI to those questioning, it’s innocent until proven guilty (and he was) in France just as it is in England.

The Tory Party couldn’t give a single solitary toss about women.

NoelFridgeAntics · 13/09/2019 16:59

Fuck me - a man can be convicted of assault, retried, the conviction upheld and a further appeal fail and people will still try and defend and excuse him!

“She slipped” - yeah, multiple times into his fist.

Proof if we needed it, that our society is deeply misogynistic.

exiledfromcornwall · 13/09/2019 19:24

Theresa May's appalling judgement strikes again.

gorrisandhorace · 13/09/2019 21:11

Shocking. Disgraceful.

Alsohuman · 13/09/2019 21:15

I’m really shocked there are people defending him. Theresa’s tin ear strikes again.

FiddlesticksAkimbo · 13/09/2019 21:21

In the radio 4 interview he comes across as an ignorant, arrogant, misogynistic, patronising arsehole who's trying to claim victim status in a world of political correctness gone mad.

gorrisandhorace · 13/09/2019 21:21

From the above article....
“It’s no surprise to me that he’s been given an honour,” said Haumant. (The French judge) “I remember reading a profile of Theresa May in the French magazine l’Express when she said her great idol was not the Beatles or the Rolling Stones, but Geoffrey Boycott.

🙄🙄🙄
Unreal.

Sunshine93 · 13/09/2019 22:10

57MrsMaiselsMuff you are absolutely right. We are 50% of the voting public. Let's make our votes count and vote this misogynistic government out.
