To ask what % pay rise you would be happy with?

Recently got 2.5% and pretty happy with it. However a colleague who got the same is disappointed as she was expecting more and a few others got a higher % (same monetary rise e.g. £1500 but lower starting salary). I think 2.5% is fine, would you expect more than this?

(Private sector, medium size profitable company.)

Anything. I've just had a £7k paycut tarted up under "harmonisation" this is despite new starts being paid more and a pay freeze put in place for the next 2 years.
I work for a shitshow

I had a 2% cost of living rise this year. If have been happier with 2.5, but after almost a decade of 0 or 1% I was pleasantly surprised.
I think our partners realised after the number of complaints they received last year that they'd be causing themselves too many issues, particularly because they've been getting an 11% rise as long as I've been there.

Not had a pay rise for 3 years - be grateful!

mnbvcxz098 that is bad.

Although I don't feel that people should show gratitude for being tossed a few crumbs from the directors/bosses etc. in the form of sub-inflationary rises. At the end of the day you exchange your labour for money. There are no favours being done.
