So I'm just into the second trimester of my first pregnancy. Had a really vivid nightmare and woke crying and in hysterics thinking DH had left me for 2 women studying biology at UCL (I know). Took poor DH (and some input from the cat) about 15 minutes to calm me down. I've never experienced anything like it...

Naturally... I'm fine now. We went downstairs and made 2 cups of tea and are now back in bed. Poor DH had to iron a pair of trousers to regain some semblance of normality Grin

Has anyone else had really vivid ridiculous dreams during pregnancy?! Or AIBU

I had really vivid dreams during pregnancy too! Funnily enough about DP leaving as well, it's awful isn't it OP, all part and parcel I think haha Grin

I used to have the most horribly vivid dreams about ripping various random people apart with my bare hands. It was massively disturbing and felt so real I’d wake up convinced I was Jack the Ripper or something. So you’re not alone!

The Jack the ripper one sounds terrifying! Oh phew! Thought I'd completely lost it...

Ironing trousers for a sense of normality!! 😂 Love it!

Your poor thing; it's your imagination and a hefty dose of hormones! A. You are completely normal and B. your DH sounds like a gem!

During my pregnancy (late stage) with my DS I woke up completely convinced that some horrific crime had taken place, the evidence of which had been buried in our back garden!!. Not only that but that forensics (gowned up no less) were patiently waiting outside with their tent and a shovel to dig it up!! My DH couldn't keep a straight face as he watched me striding to the front of the house in the middle of the night to let these imaginary people in!! It's amazing what a movie, an overactive imagination and pregnancy hormones will do.

My DH banned me thereafter from watching anything gory or hyper on the telly (I was on mat leave and incredibly bored!). Safer for all concerned to stick to cooking programmes!!

I had some awful dream when pregnant - I remember demanding to know where my Mum was in the middle of the night and my poor FH wondering what the hell was going on.
