I’m on my way to Leeds, on the bus. Didn’t realise I’ll arrive to an EDL March. Think there is a Stop Racism one as well. I’m sure there will be many police. I’m wavering between just get off and get bus in other direction partly I need some stuff, not letting EDL win and thinking it might actually be safer due to lots of police

God I hate this decision

I'm glad you decided not to go,best to keep yourself safe although you shouldn't have to, bloody awful in this day and age.

They were in City Square and they were dwarfed by the police and by the Stop Racism/Labour lot. As I walked past, the speaker asserted, "Tommy Robinson is in prison for truthism!". The two PCs nearest me looked at each other then creased up laughing - somehow it was a lovely moment! I don't blame you for wanting to stay away though; I thought twice about walking past them and I'm white. I'm sorry you had to change your plans because of a bunch of fascists. Flowers
