She has a knack for a masterly line like this. I actually looked up male models in Damart catalogue and she's bang on.

Hyde writes with a flourish and with a huge frame of reference. I love it. Its dense and pithy at once. I discovered her yonks ago when she was hidden in Friday G2 supplement with Lost in Showbiz roasting celebs. She's incredibly astute. The current politics are a perfect match for her style of writing.

And yes, she's super posh. So what? Part of the reason why she's skewing Tory party so well - she knows the types inside out. She grew up with them.

I hate this attitude. Phoebe Waller-Bridge copped it too for being brilliant and also posh. It's like to be an admirable woman you also have to be absolutely perfect, clever, no privilege or it doesn't count. Maxine Peake basically.

Oh, leave her alone, she's amusing and anything that lifts one's spirits in these grim times is welcome. As is John Crace, spot on. Stanley Johnson, however, should be demanding his money back from Eton given Bozo's insulting description of David Cameron as "a girly swot". What do they give them to read there? The Beano? I'd expect a better standard of insult for my dosh.

It’s like the papers Oxbridge hatred and the whole rebelling against the system and the old boys network. The majority of the journalists are upper middle class people who went to Oxbridge so maybe they could focus on their own house before putting the rest of the world to rights

But isn’t that the point? They’ve been to Oxbridge, realised it is an OBN that offers nothing of real value, just a leg up if you have the right connections, and that there’s more to life than relying on Daddy’s friends to get you a job your woefully non-skilled for...
