To ask what’s the fastest you’ve managed to get from offer to completion in a property purchase/tips on how to speed things up?

After a recent house purchase fell through DH and I are on the hunt again, and had an offer accepted today. I’m 7 months pregnant and due at the end of October so we’re against the clock and trying to find any way we can to expedite the process! We are chain free, as is the vendor. Has anyone managed to do it quickly who can offer some advice?

Ah - I missed that you're chain free, so presumably don't need to actually move on completion day. Ignore me - sorry!

Just under 4 weeks.

PowerslidePanda we’re staying with family at the moment so don’t have to worry about vacating on completion or anything, and 95% of our stuff is in storage, save for some clothes and essentials.
squee123 and everyone else, thanks for the tips!

Three weeks. But I was moving out of rented and the vendor was moving in with her boyfriend so there wasn't a chain.

5 months from us putting in an offer to moving in
We where chain free but the sellers house fell through so she had to find another one fast
The ea where telling us one thing and her another I.e we could get the keys on x date and she knew nothing about it!
It was so stressful I cried when my fella rang to say he had the keys and it was ours
