Nursery rated inadequate - help

I’m in such a predicament tonight, I feel sick.
I already suffer with anxiety and I’m dreading going back to work next week. I’ve been having panic attacks about it.
He’ll be going two days a week.

The nursery we’ve chosen has a homely feel and the staff are lovely with the children. They get taken out on walks in the local area often and have a lot of outside time.
The children always seem happy and well looked after there.

Anyway, the ofsted report has just gone online and they have been rated inadequate in all areas.
I’m absolutely gutted.
I’m starting back at work next week and it’s too late to find anywhere else now. Plus he’s done several settling in sessions.
We don’t have any other alternatives for childcare. I don’t know what to do. Please be gentle with me, I feel really delicate and devastated tonight.

Some of the other points in the report:

Children's all-round health is not promoted. Meals and snacks offered to younger children are not nutritionally balanced to promote a healthy diet. Despite staff compromising children's safety through weak risk assessment, children feel safe in their care.

The quality of teaching and learning is inconsistent, which means staff are not effectively supporting children's progress. Staff positively interact with the children. They recognise when children need help in their mathematical development, providing activities to support this. However, gaps in the assessment process are too great and have a significant impact on how well children learn and develop.

I mean there are some positives too and the previous ones I posted.

Me and my partner have had a chat and decided we’ll speak to them and ask what steps they’re putting in place in lieu of the report and then make a decision from there.

The part about the meals I’m not that bothered about as he’s only there two days a week anyway.

Food: you can sort that out by what you feed your child.

Ask the nursery what they've done about training staff on risk assessment.

Teaching and learning and assessments: at your child's age this really doesn't matter. He'll be learning plenty just by socialising at the nursery, and again you can supplement what they do if it's really necessary. FWIW, none of my children went to nursery at all and did absolutely fine in school and university.

sounds like it's mostly the preschool age children where the concerns will really show, hopefully by then they'll have improved. but if not 2 days a week is ok if extra effort on your off days.

The hot food and dodgy fire door would worry me as it suggests fire practices aren't routinely done and systems aren't adequate. Burns in young children are horrible. The report should make them address these things though - I'd want to know how. The comments about staff care are great though and definitely how I'd want my child treated. The idea of a pp of popping in early to collect is a good way to see what's really going on.
