To burn the house down?

Having two nights home alone as DH has taken DS to see the in-laws. Was having the loveliest time - a glass of Rose, watching celebs go dating, admiring my beautiful house with undisturbed cushions and a lack of plastic crap on the floor. And then...I saw it.. the spider. Let's call him Ted. Ted was sat, on my stairs, in my house, waiting for me. Ted is massive. Ted had a plan. Ted has been sucked up the hoover. But can Ted climb out? Shall I just burn the house down?

We had Derek. Derek was a fucking monster. He had, what looked like, a huge skull on his back and was too big to catch in a cup... the stuff of nightmares. I had to guide him out of the window with a baseball bat. No spiders were harmed in the retelling of this story

Ladies buy a tin of Raid Ant and Cockroach spray it kills spiders too! I am currently armed as we speak lol

Please don't kill them Sad They don't do any harm and they help to get rid of the more annoying pests such as flies and woodlice. If you must do something, do the glass trick and put it outside.

I had to overcomey fear of spiders when I had DD so as not to pass it on.
I am creeped out by daddy long legs,it's about the way they flit and because in a flat I lived in they took over and a lot flew into my hair as I went through a door.Neatly 40 yes ago and it still makes me shudder.

peakygal · 28/08/2019 23:09

@speedyshutter no way am I not killing them! They are huge, I have a fear and I live alone so it's me or them lol

@MidiMitch ( I'm always worried they might be pregnant-
😂😂😂😂 You do know spiders lay eggs, right?

BiscuitMachine · 29/08/2019 07:39

@Speakercube, no it's not en suite, it's our only bathroom and this morning he's gone. Which is worse than being in plain view. He will be on my towel, I just know it.
