To keep letting my mum look after my kids

Got a 1 year old and 6 year old.
Mum looks after 1 year old whilst I'm at work 2 days a week.
She's been looking after the older one too during the holidays. Not much but maybe 4 days in total as I've taken AL and so has my husband.

She hasn't told me but my sister has said she is struggling to look after them however my mum has denied it.
6 year old will be back at school next week.

I fee really bad and I don't mind putting 1 year old in nursery but my mum doesn't like the idea.

Need advice??

Your sister is stirring things.

If you’ve asked her and she’s happy then I’d continue although I would consider her age and general health.

If at any point she says to you that she doesn’t want to do it then put the baby in nursery.

Do you think it is true that your dm is struggling? How does she seen when you collect them?

If she is struggling then you should probably look at reducing the load. If your dsis just caught her on a bad day and jumped to the conclusion she is struggling then carry on.

My mum looks after my one year old niece 2-3 days a week whilst my sister is at work. I know for a fact that she struggles as she still works full time in a very demanding job on top of this and isn't in amazing health.

However I would never tell my sister this as I don't feel it's my place to if my mum maintains she is happy to help.

If your mum is adamant she's fine I don't think you should listen to your sister.

Mums are usually the last to complain about looking after dgcs. I’d try to have a frank conversation with her. Dsis might be giving you a hint.
