to remind you that our lying Prime Minister lied again - this time about pork pies

We've had the kipper story. Where he claimed that the UK couldn't export kippers unless they were ice packed and this was all due to EU regulations. Untrue

Now it's Melton Mowbray pork pies - claiming that we can't export them to the USA but they go to Thailand and Iceland. Chair of the Melton Mowbray pork pie association was on the Today programme this morning and explained that due to the short life, such things aren't exported that far. Also talked about the geographical protection scheme - which would be affected in a No Deal Brexit - so MM pork pies could be made in the USA.

Apparently Boris Johnson is upset that Channel 4 news could him a liar.

He is a liar. I am sure plenty of people could add other lies he's done.

He is THE liar.

Unfaithful and dishonest.

Corbyn conned millions of Remainers into voting for him despite having been a staunch Leaver since the 1970s

No he didn't. One of the most justified complaints about the Labour Party leadership in the last three years has been around Corbyns inability to fully commit to supporting remain. We know he's a leaver.

The only party that actually supports remain is, and will always be, Lib Dem.

Yet read the daily mail and commenters treat him like a godly. They would call this fake news!

Well this is interesting

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49470831

"However, when contacted by the BBC, Walker & Son - which says it makes and bakes 80% of all of the UK's Melton Mowbray pork pies - said it no longer exports pork pies.

"We are entirely focused on the UK market," a spokeswoman said.

The company said it used to export a "tiny amount" to Singapore - but had not done so "for some time"."

I wonder if the ones that are frozen and then sent to go abroad to be reheated actually count?

I also wonder if the USA bans pork pies or just has regulations that make it not worth exporting to them.

Good on them for having some food standard regulations.

Walkers did export to Iceland and Thailand until recently.

Why do we need reminding of something we have known for at least ten years, and his former wives have known for a lot longer?

Dogs bark, cats miaow you know.

Waiting for a revival of his Greatest Hit, the one he made up as a journo in Brussels: The EU 'may' ban prawn cocktail crisps.

It is, needless to say, a falsehood built on fresh air alone, but he likes to repeat it every few years and the Tory tabs pick it up and run with it.

As Abe Lincoln* meant to say, You can fool some of the people all of the time, and that's what counts.

(Abraham Lincoln couldn't tell a lie. Richard Nixon couldn't tell the truth. Tony Blair couldn't tell the difference. Boris Johnson couldn't give a toss.)
