Backlash for bad environmental choices?

Has anyone ever faced backlash for your choices in real life?

For not recycling, for taking many holidays abroad, having what some consider too many children? Or even not believing in man made climate change or inevitable disaster?

I have not which makes reading this forum very interesting. It seems environmentalists are only online...

Do you think it would ever happen/become more frequent?

@justanotherlurker Eh, what's the problem? I am fully aware that I am not perfect. However, I also think that people who would be likely to go on the defensive/ attack tend not to be the people doing different eco-friendly things to me. They'd probably not be doing anything. Environmentally aware people tend to be very aware of where their efforts are lacking. I think we can safely say that my colleague with a wardrobe full of handbags and shoes, who drives a Mercedes and goes on long-haul holidays at least twice a year is not doing just as much for the environment as I am.
You seem quite tetchy about this. Also, it really doesn't matter, because I don't bring it up in conversation. And it's a cheap shot to pick the most minor things from my list of things I do for the environment, and the most major from the list of things I don'tConfused Not buying new if it can be avoided is a major thing - so much stuff goes to landfill.

Why is it a problem if people want to be seen to be doing their thing for the environment BTW? A problem for who? For the people who CBA to think about anything else than their own convenience? Surely it's a good thing that eco is becoming trendy? You truly seem to have invented something to be offended by here...

Also, when I choose to open a thread about environmental responsibility, then I am willingly engaging with other people on this matter.

Completely different to have some randomer try and preach to me about single use plastic for example as I didn't agree to engage in that particular debate, with that particular person or at that particular time.
