To ask how do you clean your house?

Maybe it's because it's the holidays, but I can't keep on top of the housework (also, I'm lazy and would much rather play with the kids!).

I normally just concentrate on one room at a time and get that sorted, but then I run out of steam and never get through the whole house. I normally start in the same room and so it's the same rooms tgat get neglected at the end - although I started in the bedrooms today and gave them a good going over. It does mean that I've not cleaned the conservatory in weeks!

I was thinking about doing the same job in every room - so tidying every room first and then dusting every room ECT. But I feel like then I'd never actually get around to doing all the floors.

I suspect the easiest way would be to do a little every day, but that's far too sensible and when I go back to work, I'm too knackered to do anything but keep on top of the kitchen during the evenings!

Actually, maybe I should just work on improving my energy levels so I can finish the whole house in one go.

So, how do you do yours?

TooStressy I tried to boot camp and ended up with slipped discs in my neck! 🤦‍♀️ To bar fair, I think they were dodgy anyway. My best advice would be to tidy as best you can, we spent about 3 hours last Sunday just tidying, putting stuff away, it’d stayed much tidier and been easier to clean.
Also have a look at Marie for how to tidy and prioritise what to keep. Then just starting following Team TOMM. You’ll end up cleaning almost everywhere within 8 weeks as a gradual process. It’s taken me a while to get into the swing of it but now I have the app I love it!

I pay a cleaner to do the kitchen, hall and bathrooms. Husband and I split the rest.

Thanks Times10, am debating just starting it. Faith, definitely not worth getting slipped discs over Shock.

I'm rubbish but getting better. I do 2 or 3 loads of washing a week and am pretty good at getting it put away straight away. We wash up and clean down after every meal.i have one day off a week where I'll clean the bathrooms, and then at the weekend we'll tackle somewhere else. My husband is a good hooverer, he'll do that a couple of times a week. It's kind of ok here if you squint a bit

Toostressy they were niggling for a while before, I ignored the warning signs. Then I bootcamped moving furniture and cleaning windows with a Karcher window vac (which particularly seems to aggravate my symptoms) and that was that!

TooStressyTooMessy · 25/08/2019 20:41

Oh dear, hope they are a bit better now.

Yes thanks course of physio has helped massively!

@Starksforthewin in our house that would go "put the bin out once a week, pick up toys whenever I trip over them, load the dishwasher twice a week (but not turn it on). Everything else happens on its own." 😉

I start with the kitchen and then living room. Then the bathroom but the bedrooms hardly ever get a good going at although the beds are changed regularly.

Can never seem to put the clothes away though 🤷🏼‍♀️
