I moved into a new flat in July. Everything going well. But I work m-f so leave 830 till 515 ( its a 15 min walk to work) but I have screaming every 15/30 mind for hours plus swearing. I know it's probably a mental health issue but it really doesn't help

Please call the police. Nobody here online can assist whoever is screaming.

Rachelover40 · 24/08/2019 22:52

Lochness, do call the police, practically everyone has suggested that.

Do you ever see the woman, have any neighbours said anything?

(I'm glad you posted on here, I didn't see your other thread.)

Police can do a welfare check and make a referral

Letthemysterybe · 24/08/2019 22:57

To be honest Lochnessgiraffe I find both of your threads a little confusing. Why the details about the washing machine and your walk to work? And I don’t get the timing of the screaming at all.

EileenAlanna · 24/08/2019 23:11

It's concerning, no doubt about it. I think calling the police - non emergency number perhaps - telling them you're concerned & and asking them to make a welfare check would be the thing to do.

Lochnessgiraffe · 25/08/2019 00:18

Thank you. I didn't get many responses.
IT seems to be better post 10pm. I might call 111/100 not sure which is the best number.

Do you own the property or are you letting? If the latter what does your landlord say about the situ?? Is the flat above the last one or are there other flats above? If there are neighbors who can also hear the noise they might know what has already been tried/can share previous experience of help.

NoSauce · 25/08/2019 13:51

Who else lives there? I would go round personally and see if they’re ok. I would call 101 too. Something obviously isn’t right!

dollydaydream114 · 25/08/2019 14:28

Neither. It’s 101.

I really don’t understand why you’re still dithering over this. The police won’t tell the screamer it was you who called.

JudgeRindersMinder · 25/08/2019 14:31

Call 101 for police non emergency

111 will get you nhs24
100 will get the operator (well it used to!)

poolblack · 25/08/2019 14:35

Oh ffs you either have concern for welfare, in which case phone the police or you don't, in which case, what are you actually asking?

FirstTimeFlyer · 25/08/2019 14:38

YABVU, you live in a block of flats, noise from other residents is to be expected.

PumpkinP · 25/08/2019 20:03

^^ really?? I don’t think neighbours constantly screaming for hours is “to be expected” Hmm
