Anyone else stuck at home this BHW

Left it a little late to book a campsite this BHW. Started looking about 3 weeks ago. DH a bit fussy ( EHU / not a particular place that had loads of sites). Search intensified as weekend loomed and we could find no where. Seems everyone is camping this weekend. Decided to try boat hire - zilch. Airbnb - zilch in our price range ( ie not over a thousand pounds!!! ). 2 adults 2 kids 2 dogs.
Ok, so I left it late but thought we would find somewhere.
A bit fed up. Has anyone else had the same ?

DD is off with her Dad so it’s just me and the dog. New soon to be ex-boyfriend was supposed to be around but seems to have got a better offer! Just trying to get going to take the dog for a long walk but feeling too lazy!

We never go away on BH weekends because everywhere is so busy.

We'll be indoors watching the British MotoGP on tv all weekend. It was cancelled last year because it was so wet it was too dangerous. How different it'll be this year - they'll be complaining about the heat.

Yes. We had planned to go away down the road in the caravan. But DD(17) has ME which has good days and bad days. As bad luck would have it, yesterday was a bad day and she wasn't well enough to go away. So we had to cancel and now we're stuck at home all weekend, just like we are most of the time. I feel sorry for DS(14). This illness shits all over his life too.Angry

We are because we have a young puppy who's not had her second vaccinations yet and has only managed an hour or so in the crate so far.

We had a week at a caravan booked next week but we have had to cancel. Our little lady was trying to make an early appearance so after a few days in hospital I am on strict rest. DSS took it so well though, and is less gutted than I am. We now have 9 days to fill with a 6 year old but we will make it work for him.

Not booked a holiday, too much money and forget about the journeys/roadworks everywhere plus its going to be far too hot to be in a car for long. Me and H are getting up early and going to a car boot or two. Its cheap and great fun with exercise thrown in.

We're at home too. Dh is working all weekend (again) and we need 2 adults to take all the dc out because of youngest's autism and our other dc's mobility issues.

We were told yesterday that the buyer of our house wants to complete next Friday. So we have to pack up our house ready to move, as they have given us no notice I can’t get a removal company in time.

Luckily we already have our new house sorted and have the keys so can get cracking and move a lot this weekend.

I’m very pissed off to say the least we wanted to go away.
