To ask if you're 5ft 5 and size 10-12 how much you weigh?

I'm on a diet. I'm 5ft 5 and a 14 currently. I weigh 10st 6, down from 11st 1.

I used to be size 8 but I'm over 40 now so think 10 is more realistic.

If you're my height and a 10-12 what do you weigh? Is my goal of 8st 10 about right or too low?

I'm 5ft 4 and a size 10. I weigh 9st 7ish. I have about a stone to lose to get back to my pre baby weight and into those size 8 jeans. I think a lot of it is tone to as I havent lost my extra tummy fat yet and its making a difference to my figure and outfits.

randomsabreuse · 23/08/2019 12:14

I'm about 5'5 and a bit. About 80kg and a 12 in everything except skinny jeans and unshaped tops. I'm a 28/30L with chunky thighs - so obviously I don't wear things not cut for my shape because bigger sizes fall off shoulders before they fit boobs...

Itsabeautifuldaytosavelives123 · 23/08/2019 12:23

I average 10st 11lb, I'm never bigger than a 12. I'd like to be a stone less, but then everything feels loose and I drop a size. Your target weight sounds too light, and will be difficult to maintain.

Posey67 · 23/08/2019 12:25

I'm 5"7 10.7 stone and a size 12. I'd love to drop the extra 7 lbs

Not another 'how much do you weigh and what clothes size are you?' thread? Confused

Soooooooooo tedious. And it's almost certain that 4 out of 5 posters will not tell the truth.

SomewhereInbetween1 · 23/08/2019 12:32

5.3, size 10-12, 10 stone exactly.

febel · 23/08/2019 12:32

sounds bit low to me...I am 5'5/5'6 (haven't measured lately..may have shrunk in old age!) and am 52 (arghh..how did that happen?!) I weigh around the upper edges of 9 stone (as in 9.9 ) but don't really weigh myself much these days. Muscle weighs more than fat remember. I judge on my shape...and if I got down to the weight you mentioned, which I have before not through choice, I look way too thin, ….spidery and gaunt. I look slim and am a size 10/12 depending on brand and how I want it to fit!

I would definitely say don't get hung up on weight and judge it on how you look and feel....if I get below a certain weight I lose energy and don't feel well.

AllOuttaIdeas · 23/08/2019 12:33

I'm 5ft 5 - big boned, no boobs, no waist, chunky thighs and I am a 10-12 (more 10 these days but I think that might be due to vanity sizing).

Weight is 9 and a half stone / 60kg.

I'd love to get back to my pre-children weight of 8 and a half stone, but accepted long ago that I'd have to take up smoking again, and basically stop eating, to achieve that!

chimpandzee · 23/08/2019 12:33

5 ft 5 tall, weigh around 9 stone 4. Size 6 to 8 or XS, S depending on the brand.
OP I'm 49 and the smallest I've ever been so it's definitely not too late over 40. I put on a lot of weight after having my 2nd DC who was born when I was 40 and have lost it all and more in the last 3 years.

amusedbush · 23/08/2019 12:34

I'm 5' 5 and a couple of years ago I lost a lot of weight and was a size 12 at 12 stone on the nose (sadly not anymore!)

A few people on here found that hard to believe but I was exercising a LOT, was quite toned and wore a size 12 from pretty much every shop you can think of (so not just vanity sizing, like M&S).

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 23/08/2019 12:36

I'm the same height and a size 10. I weigh 9.7 stone but have previously been between 8.7 and 9 stone and still been a size 10. I'm an hourglass shape and carry all weight around my thighs and hips. A little around my face too.

musicposy · 23/08/2019 12:42

I'm 5'5" and I'm 8 and a half stone exactly. I'm absolutely bang in between a 10 and a 12. I can strain myself into size 10 jeans and trousers but 12 is a little baggy. I have clothes in a mix of both sizes. The minute I go above 8 1/2 I'll be a solid 12.

I'm always surprised at how little I weigh for the size I am compared to friends and people on here but I have tiny bones, minuscule wrists etc. I think bone structure is a part of it and you can't go on weight alone. You might find you're where you want to be at 9 stone.

missyB1 · 23/08/2019 12:45

5ft 4 size 10 /12 and weigh 8 stone 10z . I would like to lose 5lbs planning to do intermittent fasting.

feelingverylazytoday · 23/08/2019 12:47

I'm a tiny bit shorter than you at 5'4" , I wear size 10 bottoms and size 12 tops. I weigh 9st 12 pounds (approx).
I remember weighing 8st 10 pounds and feeling pretty good at that size, so I suppose that would be equivalent to around 9 stones at your height.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 23/08/2019 12:50

Didn't you start an identical thread a week or two ago? If so then the responses aren't going to make you feel any better about yourself, you need to access real life support.

EnglishRose13 · 23/08/2019 12:50

I'm 5'3 and currently 10.10 (usually around 10 stone) and I wear a size 10.

I have big boobs though (32GG) so I think that's where the weight is.

Blueandredandblue · 23/08/2019 12:53

I'm 5 ft 5, a size 8 - 10 and weigh 10 stones this morning. I'm an hourglass and have enormous thighs, and largish boobs.

Doobigetta · 23/08/2019 12:54

5’5”, 10 on top and 12 on the bottom, and I weigh about 9 stone 10. If I could drop to below 9 1/2 I’d probably be a clear 10, but I’m not disciplined enough.

Blueandredandblue · 23/08/2019 12:55

I weight train and work out a lot though and have a muscular physique

Blueandredandblue · 23/08/2019 12:56

If I give up wine I can drop to a 6 - 8. But I like a life

Zaphodsotherhead · 23/08/2019 13:03

So much depends on shape. I've got a teeny tiny waist, fairly large boobs and quite wide hips. I'm 5'6 and weight hovers around the 9 stone mark.

I'm a 12 on top for comfort around the boobs, 8/10 in skirts that fit properly around the waist, and 10/12 in trousers depending on the stretch levels. If I bought a dress I'd have to have a 12 and a belt. I run a lot and am fairly fit and toned, but have a belly as a result of five pregnancies (stretched skin rather than fat).

BenjiB · 23/08/2019 13:06

Around 11st and I fit comfortably in a 12.

gerbo · 23/08/2019 13:11

Age 42, 5'4" and weigh 9 stone. Size 10-12.

ooooohbetty · 23/08/2019 13:23

I'm 5ft 6 and would like to be about 11.4. Any thinner than that and my face would be far more wrinkled. A bit of fat pads your lines out.

Thiswayorthatway · 23/08/2019 13:31

5' 6" and 10 stone 4lb/66kg. Size 10-12, age 44. Bit of a tummy, aiming for 9.5 stone/60 kg.
