What happens when you take MAP

Am in need of taking the morning after pill after a slip up today, never have I before so wondering what happens?
Does it cause heavy bleeding?
Recent stomach illness it just totally slipped my mind until after the event that I'm not covered contraception wise

I had an IUD before that moved resulting in having to go to hospital to scan and locate and remove it. Never again for me.

Almost 3 weeks on and getting an occasional pinching type pain and spotting, is this normal. Am back on the mini pill and for 18 months didn't have a bleed so for me it seems odd.
Taken a one step pregnancy test this morning and was negative

I took it two weeks ago

My period is late

I think I might get a test just to be sure after reading this thread

Google is freaking me out I should stop looking.
