And. Any particular model you would recommend?

John Lewis or AO (last AO delivery - all great - said his next call was for John Lewis then one for Argos i.e. it's a bit pot luck on delivery front).

John Lewis. Miele. Lovelovelove.

Find a small, independent one who you would assume to be extortionate.

Go and have a look.

After a nightmare due to rural location with curries and a four week delivery on AO I phoned the tiny shop in town.

They delivered, fitted and took away the old machine, with no charge. They sold me over the phone the biggest machine they had for a price less than online. This was the Friday before Christmas, when I phoned in tears having a new baby and not being able to drive. They did it THAT day. I was absolutely astounded and recommend them to everyone I know locally. Oh and when I went to give my card details they said no, no, pay us next year we will send you an invoice in the new year with thirty day payment terms. Shock

AO are vile. Absolutely awful.

Horrendous people.

He refused to got machine (which I paid for) so I refused machine.

He called me a bitch and left.

AO phoned me and asked why I treated their delivery staff so appallingly and why did I make him feel threatened.

I'm in a wheelchair and he was single handed holding the machine.

Luckily I have cctv with audio.

Sent to AO, all they said was "we sometimes have this issue" and gave me my money back. Cunts.

Went to currys. Cheaper and lgrwat service.

Auramigraine · 20/08/2019 21:53

AO always been great for me

LindaLa · 20/08/2019 21:53

Lovely service. I don't know what igrwat is.

longwayoff · 20/08/2019 21:55

Currys did mine, think it was an extra tenner, delivered, took out old, put in new, took old away. No problems at all.

cantkeepawayforever · 20/08/2019 21:59

John Lewis, own brand machine.

Courteous, quick, efficient, careful.

balalalala · 20/08/2019 22:12

Currys have always been horrendous for me. Said never again more than once!

AO have done a good job when it has been a pretty straightforward install, but struggled to replace a wired in dishwasher. John Lewis delivered and installed a washing machine for me last Saturday. Couldn't have asked for more.. the guy even gave me a quick lesson on how to use once he was done.

clucky3 · 20/08/2019 22:35

I've had terrible service in this respect from John Lewis and genuinely brilliant service from AO. My latest washing machine is a Samsung. Only had it 6 months so it's early days but so far it's been grey

clucky3 · 20/08/2019 22:36

*GREAT. Not grey!

speakout · 20/08/2019 22:40

I've bout machines fromvarious sources over he years and never had a problem with any company- Argos, John Lewis, Currys, all provided the same service. Intstalling a machine is easy if you have standart fittings- I have done that myself took 10 minutes.

Derektheelf · 20/08/2019 22:43

Definitely AO.com. We have a narrow space and they came in and measured up, to make sure it would go in, even though I had already checked. They asked for a mop to clean up afterwards and were super quiet when they spotted my small baby
