To ask for 30th birthday gift ideas?

My partner is 30 in November and I'm struggling to think of good present ideas for him.

He's very much into sports - football, cricket and golf are favourites. He likes food and eating out, some comedy (but not the more mainstream stand up - he loves improv), technology, Tame Impala/Foals type music and books. He always complains about not having enough clothes but sticks to the same stuff because he doesn't know what to buy (and he vetoes a lot of my suggestions 😂).

He runs a company that publishes a business technology magazine (so is very knowledgeable on tech - far more so than me) and we have a one year old son.

I've seen threads like these work wonders before so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

For my husbands 40th I am hoping to organise a ride in a Ferrari/lambo or an Aston Marin around a race track, will stay over night in a hotel as well, just don't know where yet as I am in the North East.

For our eldest sons 30th birthday, we brought him a nice watch, he absolutely loved it

@MichonnesBBF He did this for his 21st! Great idea though.

@60sbird He doesn't really wear a watch, but thanks for the suggestion Smile

Midsummer House is amazing, it’s in Cambridge which I think is within easy driving distance of Norfolk .

For my 30th last year my BF stayed at home with DD and I learnt to surf in Morroco.
Hi 40th this year I arranged a suprise meal with friends and family (his dad even flrew over from the continent)

Have you looked online at Mollie & Fred: www.mollieandfred.co.uk/ I got some great bits for my husbands birthday from there a few months ago!

I think the night away with a comedy element thrown in sounds like your best bet; experiences are always much more memorable! Also, when my H2B was 30, one of the presents I bought him was 30 different craft beers/ales and I tied a reason why I loved him to each one...it was a present that went on for months!!! He really appreciated it Smile

It's my 30th birthday today and I said I didn't want a load of stuff, I just wanted to do lots of nice things. So I have had about 6 months worth of treats in a weekend, hair, nails, spa, child friendly day out with DS and DH, lunch out, takeaway, and still got cinema and go ape to go! Would he like a "manly" Spa day? Massage etc? It doesn't have to be one big thing is what I am trying to say, you can do lots of his favourite things in one weekend.
