To ask about London show tickets and where’s best to get them?

My kids have had a tough year and we thought we’d perhaps treat them to a show in London as they would love this. We’ve never done this before so I wonder if anyone could help. Any recommendations of a show that a 7 and 10 year old would enjoy? Where is best to purchase tickets. The cheaper the better! I’ve had a google and found London theatre direct? Also when we get the train to London we end up at Victoria. Obviously we could het the tube to a theatre but any theatres that are nearby or a short tube ride away that you could suggest would be fab. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Kids under 16 go free to loads of shows in August!

Also, cheap same day tickets via the TodayTix app.

Wicked is awesome for kids - and right next to Victoria! You walk out the station, turn right and you’re there. We usually get tickets direct from the theatre as I’ve found them to be cheaper but it’s worth having a google and seeing what you find. Good luck!

The lion king is great for kids

The lion king is brilliant for children - close to the Tube stations and we just got our tickets directly - well worth the money!

I highly recommend The Play That Goes Wrong or Matilda. These are both in Covent Garden which is a short bus ride from Victoria.
If you are prepared to chance it, you can get cheaper tickets on the day or the day before in person from the cut price tickets booth in Leicester Square (make sure you go to the official one- officiallondontheatre.com/tkts/

We're going to see school of rock in October half term. Got decent tickets for £20 each London theatre direct. The decedent shows for August kids go free sold out ages ago plus the bump the prices up so you don't really save anything anyway. We loved Matilda, favourite so far. Aladdin is also really good.

Oh and yes to the tube or even a bus if you have time then they can see some sights whilst you're travelling. We don't have a bus where we live (well a mini bus once a week Grin) so the dc absolutely love going on one of the double deckers

Try your local coach companies. They may run day trips to various shows. You'll get good seats and the price including travel could well be the same as the price of the ticket alone would be otherwise.

Lion King, School of Rock, Wicked as people have said. Have a look on TodayTix as they often have lower priced tickets.
