We are going camping tomorrow. Weather forecast is shit. DH is a miserable bastard and we are not talking. Kids are fighting. I'd rather be at work.

Agree with a PP leave dog at home with DH & go with kids.

What part of the country are you going to? Most places are showing no worse than 'light rain' over the next week or so. And no rain at all on many days.

Can we advise on good local things to do?

Is it possible to leave the dog so that you have a bigger choice of indoor places to visit?

We are off camping tomorrow too... plus a puppy.

Have you used your tent before? So long as you know it’s leakproof you will be fine. The worst thing for me would be having a wet dog in the tent.

I love camping even in shit weather

I would leave dh with dog at home and see if you can rope in a good friend instead? Take wellies and waterproofs, music, buckets of wine and you will have a ball!

Have a staycation instead. Let kids camp indoors and run a bit wild and treat yourselves to a takeaway.

We are here. It's absolutely pissing down and 40mph winds but the forecast is better for tomorrow. Moods have improved 😂
