To have no idea what will happen coming off pill

AIBU to not have a clue what will happen coming off contraceptive pill?(I know obviously that I can get knocked up). Will it take a while for normal periods to come back?

Recently finished a pack of pills , had the breakthrough bleed and should be starting a new pack of pills today. Getting married next week and really want to get started ASAP for a baby.

I was pregnant within the month.

I was on cerazette/cerelle for nearly 10 years - came off and thought I’d bleed a few days after, but nothing. Had a ‘period’ about 3 or 4 weeks after coming off, and then got pregnant!
I’d read lots of people say they conceived straight away after stopping the pill, but also heard lots of medical stuff which says the pill takes up to a year to get out your system! So naturally we assumed it would take ages! 😂

I didn't have a period for 8 months after stopping the pill.

See I don't understand the it takes a year to get pregnant theory because if you miss a pill you are told to use protection for 7 days. So you can get pregnant straight away. It's a myth I think. Certainly from our experience anyway !
