And I'm posting here for traffic

But I had a copper coil fitting yesterday... the first one "slipped" so she had to insert another

And now I'm fairly sure I've got a bloody prolapse. I'm 28 fgs... is this normal, CAN this happen? Any experiences greatly appreciated

Best get myself off to the GP when I'm back from my weekend away. But ffs, why me BlushSad

Could be your expelling this one and your feeling the end through cervix. I had several coils before having kids. Since then iv pulled one out (didnt realise and resulted in lots of xrays) then I expelled one. Gave up and dh gor the snip

I had mine fitted two weeks ago. It went fine. Slight nip. No issues.

A coil fitting absolutely cannot cause a prolapse. It’s not possible. It’s probably just an I’ll fitt coul

I had one perforate my uterus. OMG, did that hurt! Awful, doubled over in pain, went into A&E with the pain. Had to have the camera put in under GA the next day to bloody find it and get it out. They asked if I wanted another inserted whilst they were in there. NO! DH got the snip.

Oh man! Sorry to hear OP. Hope you get it sorted.

Just my two cents RE the copper coil to anyone considering having one - I chose it as I refuse to use hormonal contraception, however it sent me absolutely loopy.

I cried all the time. I was an absolute emotional wreck - like having severe and constant PMS. They'll tell you 'oh no, it can't be the coil,' but it's bullshit. Had it out after six months and within a week I was back to normal. DP begged me to have it removed and it was affecting our relationship due to my extreme sadness and moodiness.

Excess copper in the body can be a huge issue and messes with hormones.

I'm not saying this will be the case for you OP, everyone's different of course. But my experience was so vile I genuinely feel I should advise women to do a LOT of research before going for it.

I read this blog not long before I had it out and could have written it myself! www.followmeaway.com/copper-iud-ruined-my-life/
