To think my baby has CMPA?

He's 3 months old but I think he has some of the symptoms of CMPA Sad

Constant fussing/irritability, particular after a feed
Looks bloated
Is sick after every feed/or spits up his milk
Really runny poos, they're never solid (not sure if they should be at this stage)
Sneezes a lot

He's at the GP this afternoon. Am I wrong to think it could be this?

My gp was shit. My health visitor was nothing short of amazing.

Diagnosed with cma at 10 weeks. My health visitor back me all the way and pushed the GP for the milk challenge at 7 weeks old. My daughter went from screaming 24/7 to content and smiley with the clearest skin in 72 hours. She's also on ranitidine for the reflux.

Saw GP, she just gave me Gaviscon Infant for him

My DS has a CMPA. If he has normal formula he is violently sick and get a red rash on his mouth and chin, hes fine all other times.

I hope the Gaviscon works but, if not, please do go straight back to your Dr as I know how horrible it is to see them with tummy pain.

Can anybody give me more guidance on how to give the Gaviscon? It says to mix the sachet into 4oz of milk but he is to have 2 of them as he's over 10lb.

I usually give him 6oz per feed so what do I do? Am I just being thick here Confused

My baby was on gaviscon. Paed said to ignore the back and only use 1 sachet.

Pour it straight into the bottle once it's made and swirl.

Go back in a week and ask for ranitidine.

Take pictures of babies nappies, my nurse told me she needed gaviscon but go said babies don't get upset tummy's with indigestion so if she's still having loose stills take photos to show go, that's what I did which is how they identified the lactose intolerance!!

There is a sliding scale of meds for reflux, typically it goes gaviscone/ranitidine/omeprazole and then the milk change. With ds2 as we ha a genetic link I was able to get gaviscone AND OMEPRAZOLE plus milk (neocate not nutramigen). Document every feed/nappy change and film any screamy episodes. And use a dual sachet in a 6oz bottle

The reflux is prossibly a symptom of CMPA. GP’s are often awful at diagnosing CMPA and miss many of the symptoms. The gaviscon May cause constipation. Does little one have any eczema/rash and is weight gain an issue? Do you or dad have eczema or asthma?

Check your local children’s centre. Mine got diagnosed there at a dietitian drop in.
