Should enforce the age limits?
First off I am not against kids playing and I know soft play is for letting off steam, but surely there has to be limits?
Our local soft play has a massive three storey area for ages 3+, a much smaller area for 1-3 and a tiny area for under 12 months.
Despite DS being in the 1-3 age group (18 months) I don't feel I can safely take him in there due to older kids coming in and running riot - just today I ended up injured when a group of boys aged around 7 or 8 came running in and took a flying jump onto the soft cubes next to me.
DS had just clambered off them and my hand was still on it - they landed on my wrist but had they landed on DS they could have really hurt him. (I told the boys this and pointed out they had the rest of the soft play but the babies only have a small bit). The same was happening in the under 12 months bit (with parental approval in one case!).
Staff just shrugged when I asked for an ice pack for my wrist and asked if I wanted to fill out an accident report form (I thought these were mandatory?)
AIBU to think it's their job (in part) to enforce the age restrictions to prevent injury?
