We’re supposed to be going away for a couple of nights at the end of this week. Couple of nights in a hotel, more than what we’d usually pay as it’s a celebration.

However, it’s a location that you really need good weather to enjoy and the forecast is atrocious , particularly Friday which will be the main day.

It’s an outdooorsy place, fairly remote, no museums or anything like that nearby. Can’t think what we would do in bad weather except sit in the hotel. Could just read or something but could do that at home! There’s not much in the way of facilities or pool etc either.

I’m thinking about cancelling, WWYD?

Is it Cornwall? If it is, the weather forecast is notoriously unreliable. Fir example, we had rain/black cloud forecast all day today. We had showers this morning and then beautiful sunshine all afternoon.

It’s not Cornwall although I have experienced similar. This doesn’t seem to be that sort of hit & miss weather though, looks like there’ll be no escaping it.
I see that Boardmasters has been cancelled because of it too.
We had been considering a weekend in Bristol to see the balloon fiesta but doesn’t look like there’ll be much action there either.

Thanks all, we decided to our cancel. A bit depressing but ho hum.

Where are you? And how far can you travel? I bet someone can find you a deal in a hotel with a spa near something you can do in bad weather
