If I'm pregnant...
I'm fairly small all over with a big post c section gut. Kids are 3 and 1 and not planning anymore and I'm tired of people congratulating me on my third 😩
I'd love a witty comeback to give me some confidence back opposed to just saying "I'm not pregnant"

Two weeks after your manners arrive.

EugenesAxe · 04/08/2019 21:36

I’d probably say ‘I’m not; it’s a C-section gut.’

It’s weird about C-sections though. Two otherwise tiny friends I have both have perfect C-section pot bellies.

"This lovely shape is all me. No incubators present."

Good one, AutumnalLeaves38, I am laughing out loud Grin

Eugenes- what an awful thought you have of your friends. I can only hope you never voice your judgement?!

BrokenWing · 04/08/2019 22:23

Just stare them out for a few uncomfortable seconds, 3-4 should do it, and see if they crack first.

If they don't, just say, well this is awkward isn't it?

gottastopeatingchocolate · 04/08/2019 22:49

I think I'd give them a pitying look and say "oh, this is going to embarrass you more than it does me!"

LadyRannaldini · 05/08/2019 21:36

'Remind me, when did I last see your husband?'

chickenyhead · 05/08/2019 21:44

@Atlasta

I'm not pregnant! When is it again you're having your face- lift?

'Remind me, when did I last see your husband?'

ROFLLMAO

luckily I am now too old and degraded that I no longer get asked.

EugenesAxe · 05/08/2019 23:23

No! I’m not judging them either; like I say they are both gorgeous and happen to be tiny - just I know they’ve had C-sections and it’s something that shows up occasionally. I’ve noticed because it’s so incongruous with the rest of their figure, but it’s nothing bad or that I ‘judge’ them for.

It’s like that lots of women who’ve had babies seem to thicken at the waist around menopause. I’ve noticed this starting to happen for me.

lavenderbluedilly · 05/08/2019 23:37

“I’m not pregnant.” Said pleasantly, with a neutral facial expression. No reason why you should have to make jokes about being fat, or laugh it off, it’s not your fault. Let them get embarrassed.

LaMainDeFatima · 05/08/2019 23:49

Not yet but I'm hoping I will be after tonight wink

FindaPenny · 05/08/2019 23:49

Maybe you could laugh a little and say 'can you imagine how awkward you would feel if I wasn't actually pregnant?' and then with a serious face say 'I'm not actually pregnant' and walk off.
