Not ones that go up my bum or fall down or make me look like a burst sausage. Is it too much to ask???Angry

M&S brazillians! Natural is not always best in my view. I like fine gossamer thin fabrics. Cotton is too thick, has no stretch and does not keep its shape. Stretch lace on the other hand moves with you and, contrary to popular myth, it does breathe, it’s full of tiny holes.

I’m always amazed at the number of women who insist on cotton knix and then put a pair of tights on over the top, which rather defeats the object.

Viscose is a good quality thin natural fabric too. It is made from bamboo.

Andysbestadventure · 04/08/2019 07:45

They're called KNICKERS OP. Pants are trousers!

missmouse101 · 04/08/2019 07:50

Sloggi maxi control pants here. They are fabulous! So very comfy and hold everything in.

missmouse101 · 04/08/2019 07:52

Trousers are called trousers in the UK. Hmm They are pants, knickers or undies!

FrederickAlgernonTrotteville · 04/08/2019 08:00

Are the sloggi ones really £12 for a single pair? That seems a bit pricey for grundies!

StarlightLady · 04/08/2019 08:08

@FrederickAlgernonTrotteville - I have no idea. Wouldn’t be seen dead in them but they are as thick as a nappy!

missmouse101 · 04/08/2019 08:42

They are certainly NOT as thick as a nappy! They are excellent quality and last for ages. The quality and comfort are worth every penny. I buy them in Bon Marche when they have 20% discount days.

babasaclover · 04/08/2019 08:50

F

Branleuse · 04/08/2019 09:39

Yeah the sloggis are about £11 a pair. Pricey but its nice to have a couple of pairs

Groovee · 04/08/2019 09:45

I've gone back to Sainsbury's for full briefs after losing weight as nothing else fits me well x

General0rgana · 04/08/2019 09:56

M&S cotton rich midi briefs are amazing and I don't care how 'old' that makes me!

Full briefs are too high for me, midis are perfect. You'll never go back!

avalanching · 04/08/2019 10:01

FatFace, love their underwear! I buy it in the sale.

flowery · 04/08/2019 10:04

”Pants are trousers!”

They’re really not.

FrederickAlgernonTrotteville · 04/08/2019 11:34

Apologies for a slight hijack - bu can anyone recommend girls (6 years) underwear with a wider gusset? I'm certainly not sending her in modesty shorts, but would like her to wear pants that cover her properly!

sophiestew · 04/08/2019 11:38

I think you need to size up.

Agree with PP re M&S midi.

JohnLapsleyParlabane · 04/08/2019 11:42

If you're willing to spend £11 pp on something lik Sloggis, why not have them made?
I get mine from creasefreeclothes.co.uk/ pants club.

EggysMom · 04/08/2019 11:44

I'm fed up with the different depths that constitute 'midi'. One brand, midi is too shallow, so I opt to buy their full briefs. Another brand, the full briefs don't just go to the belly button, I'd swear they'd go up to my boobs; so I have to buy the midis.

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 04/08/2019 13:11

The sloggi ones are often on offer on Amazon. I got a pack of 2 for £13 not long ago. Actually got 3 packs. I can't live without them Blush

WellTidy · 04/08/2019 13:15

If you have a parsnip shaped bottom, what pants do you wear? I can never find pants that stay put on my bum. And I hate wearing shorts style.

Poppins2016 · 04/08/2019 13:15

Another vote for Sainsbury's - I go for the bikini cut lace Brazilian style - pretty and comfortable! Sainsbury's bras are great too.

breakfastpizza · 04/08/2019 13:18

M&S cotton rich full briefs. Comfy and hold up for years.

lorettalemon · 04/08/2019 13:32

I used to like the M and S multipack cotton ones but they cut in a bit now, I think the shape is slightly different. I find the Tesco cotton multipack short style are better - they're the same style and size, but the seam that goes around the top of the leg doesn't cut in as much

TinyMystery · 04/08/2019 14:07

The only pants I ever truly loved were from my cousin who lived in Malta at the time. I can’t remember what the brand was so sadly I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get another pair the same.

I have a big round bum but fairly narrow hips and a short, small waist. ‘Big pants’ are always saggy on my waist and get eaten by my arse. Pretty much everything gives me 4 bum cheeks. I hate thongs.

KnickersandGnomes · 04/08/2019 14:48

I have found my people! I'm another that finds that the gusset (gargh I hate that word lol) sits too far back.

I've recently started wearing the Sloggi basic maxi briefs and wonder of wonders they stay put, not riding up or down and are really comfortable.

Because they are a bit pricey for me I have also tried La Marquise maxi briefs that I got for £10 for 3 pairs on Ebay and find them just as good, certainly they wash well and haven't gone baggy or saggy yet.

I can tell by touch as I pull them out of the washing machine which pairs are Sloggi though, the material feels different - more substantial or something so I'm sure they will last longer than the La Marquise pairs but it is reflected in the price.

Megsheeran · 04/08/2019 15:03

@knickersandgnomes. If you like Sloggi maxi briefs may I recommend these, on offer at the moment and work out at 3 for £8, I have just restocked my knicker drawer. 😉
