Parking and shitty neighbours

Now I live on a normal rd. each house has a lay-by with their house number painted which allows parking for one car.

I got home and parked on the road by my space leaving my space empty as my brother was popping over with his kids. My house has 1 car. House opposite has 4 cars. Their daughter came home swearing I was in her spot and that she was going to piss me off so she purposely parked blocking my owned space.
I knocked and asked the mum if she could ask her daughter to move her car - was met with how hard the daughter works and that I'm inconsiderate as the daughter always parks there and I was parked where she usually does. For reference there was space on the other side of the road for about 5 cars or further down a little 5 seconds from their house.

WIBU to ask her to move?

The OP has done nothing wrong. She's perfectly within her rights to park on the road and leave her space empty if she wants.

I think he OP needs to be firmer with getting the neighbor to move.

It's a public road, and anyone can park anywhere, except the numbered spaces. Your space is yours, but that doesn't mean you have to park there. You were perfectly entitled to park elsewhere and allocate your space to guests. She's totally in the wrong.
