Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a robot vacuum that works on carpet? I'm sick of hoovering!GrinIt's a medium pile, not too thick.
Thanks in advance.

I have a vileda one. It was from Aldi a year or so ago, less than £100. I'm not going to say it's amazing, but given enough time it does a decent job. (It is quicker on hard floors).

Some of these things have eyewatering price tags so following with interest.

7sunnysundays · 01/08/2019 23:50

Love my Roomba, had a cheaper version for a year first, can really tell the difference.

PlanBea · 01/08/2019 23:56

I have a Eufy and he's been brilliant!

Mookie81 · 02/08/2019 00:32

Prices please! Thanks for the replies.

I've got the Robo Rock (Korean) - it also mops! I love it. Works on carpet as well as wooden floors e.g. and also on my rug.

They're around £300 on Amazon.

InTheTriangle · 02/08/2019 01:25

I'd second the Xiaomi Roborock S50. Can find them on Amazon or eBay. Around £300, arguably the best value option around given the tech/features it has. We have 2! They clean daily, makes such a difference.

UnRavellingFast · 02/08/2019 01:39

Do you have to do lots of setting up or do they avoid things even say a sock left on floor?

Tatiannatomasina · 02/08/2019 01:51

Lg roboking, I love it so much I bought two!!!

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 02/08/2019 01:55

Bought an Eufy last month on offer on amazon for £170.
Its bloody amazing.
It will try to eat socks so it needs a clear floor.

It does not fall down stairs but it does have a problem with low angled legs on furniture. We have a coffee table that it gets stuck on, amd will hump the thing until the battery runs down so I don't leave it totally unattended.
The really expensive ones can be programmed remotely and "learn" the room but honestly I think the tech on mine is all I need.

Aquamarine1029 · 02/08/2019 02:11

Get an Eufy, definitely. I absolutely love mine. Roombas are ridiculously expensive.

I've had roombas since they were first available many years ago. They're robust, easy to get parts for and just last and last. I buy the mid to lower end ones as theres not much to gain bar bells and whistles by paying a fortune. I just bought two new ones from Appliances Direct for about £160 each. I've dipped into other brands a couple of times and they've just ended up going into the bin. Also have a braava jet floor mopper, and Lawna, our flymo robot mower. Love, love each and every one of them

Mookie81 · 02/08/2019 07:52

Ooh decisions, decisions! Grin
Thanks everyone.

I do not recommend the Miele, not worth the money at all. An expensive mistake.

fleshmarketclose · 02/08/2019 08:25

I have a Neato D5, I love it. It takes me two minutes to get the whole of the downstairs ready before I start it up then I take the dog and come home to every floor in the downstairs vacuumed. Mine is controlled by an app on my phone so I can set it off whilst I'm out. It copes with hard floors, changes of carpet pile and door treads. I paid £300 on Black Friday.

ColdAndSad · 02/08/2019 08:31

I have one of these, which I bought on an Amazon deal for about £80

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07FCP2MBZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

And I have one of these, which I paid about the same for

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07D7LVGVB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

I've had several others but returned them as they didn't work very well. These two have daily use and are very easy to empty, clean, and unblock. I tend to use them downstairs, where we have hard floors, but I've used them in the bedrooms too on medium pile carpet and they're good.

Aragog · 02/08/2019 08:35

We have a Roomba. Had it about 4 years and it works well on carpet ad laminate.

Mookie81 · 02/08/2019 09:11

I've gone for the Eufy Robovac 30C.
Thanks all!

I've just bought a Eufy. Really impressed with it so far. Best thing is that it has really involved the kids (any tech will do) and they are tidying things off their floors so that they can set the Eufy off.

fedup21 · 29/12/2019 15:23

@Mookie81 @peanutbutterforever or anyone else with one, I am looking at the Eufy-what do you think a few months down the line?!

PlanBea · 29/12/2019 15:25

@fedup21 I've had mine nearly a year now and I still love him as much as when we first got him. He's been very robust and still does a great job of the hoovering

Didiplanthis · 29/12/2019 15:26

I got one on black Friday. Its lovely. Not overly efficient but given time it potters round doing a decent job. Only trouble is I wander round after it chatting to it, giving it encouragement and rescuing when it gets stuck 🤣

Bubblysqueak · 29/12/2019 16:10

Love my neato and couldn't live without him. Works brilliantly on wood, carpet and tiles and delays with our dogs continual shedding fantastically.
