AIBU to be freaked out by my period?

Apologies for the potentially graphic details which are to follow, but I am stressed about my period.

This month I have a very strange period. It arrived 3 days early and it was bright red, scarlet blood. They were no blood clots and there was only one or two small strings of tissue. It just looks like I'm bleeding blood rather than menses. I'm now on day 3 and it's thinned out even more.

I'm 27, pregnancy test is negative. I don't think I'm ill. Why is this happening

Hi @Charlierose1991 this is an old thread so may not get you any direct replies, if you go to the pregnancy/TTC boards and start an OP (original post) there hopefully they can give you some good advice. I unfortunately don’t have any direct experience to offer but maybe the kind folks on that board can help.
