Would I be being unreasonable if I cheated?

I'm so freaking down at the moment I can't stop crying but I managed to stick to a diet really well and I'm well on my way to skinny successdom but today has, well, been one hell of a day.

I'm so down, i've just been ill and i'm crying all the time and i'm really worried about work. I'm on the weight watchers diet and already gone slightly over my points. I'm very tempted to treat myself down the chippy as i'm feeling so shit. What do you think?

Don't.
You'll feel worse.
Paint your toes or have abath instead.
Don't use food to console you.

It would not be unreasonable, but you know yu would feel worse after don't you

pirategirl · 01/08/2007 18:15

You might be really pissed off with yourself if you do, and then you would maybe use that as another thing to beat yourself with.

I am all for you going and having your chips, yet the fact you have posted, makes me tink that you would be annoyed at yourself.

I only think that because you are having such a difficult day. Yet, if you can have em, and start 2morrow anew, then go for it!!!

FairyOnTheChristmasTree · 01/08/2007 18:21

You're all right of course and if I knew it wouldn't be a sin I would've just gone straight for them. I'm going to pass and go late night shopping in Asda for healthy meals for tomorrow. Thanks for boosting my willpower!

Good girl
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels remember

NotQuiteCockney · 01/08/2007 18:27

Eating isn't actually a sin you know.

I do agree that eating rubbish won't make you feel better. Is there anything healthy that is a treat for you? (Berries? Watermelon?)

HonoriaGlossop · 01/08/2007 18:35

well one point about weightwatchers, surely, is that you stop yourself having these cravings for things you 'can't' have. You just want them more if you tell yourself you can't.

Have the chips if you really want them, note down the points; you can have a light day tomorrow where you have say, free soup for lunch and a pretty much free veggie stew for dinner, and/or do some exercise to earn some more points.

I wouldn't agonise this much; otherwise you'll feel deprived and dip of the diet completely.

FairyOnTheChristmasTree · 01/08/2007 18:38

berries and watermelon aren't a treat, they're pure diet food in my opinion but I know ive got to re-educate my mind!!! but i'm not going to have the chippy or i'm going to go over the edge if I've put anything on when I weigh myself on Monday. I will be really pissed off.

Popcorn
Nectarines
Consomme (Baxters do a nice one)

All good low cal things.

I agree, stop seeing crap food as a treat.

EscapeFrom · 01/08/2007 18:58

Raspberries! They are prohibitively expensive, of course they are a treat!

Carmenere · 01/08/2007 19:01

Fairy! I'm doing WW too
Make yourself an egg-white omlette with peppers mushrooms and onions. C'mon love, food doesn't even vaguely compare to the feeling of putting on a smaller skirt. You have the strenght inside. xx
