To not know what to do with my thighs!

I have lost 5-6 stone over the past couple of years and have a BMI in the middle of the normal range. I’m around 40 but when I was in my teens/early 20s and slim, I always had fat arms and thighs. Disproportionately fat I would say!!

Anyway, I do a reasonable amount of exercise and have strong, toned muscles under the remaining fat.

My question is, if I were to jump up and down in front of a mirror (or run in shorts, or swim) then I would get hideous ripples of fat/skin on my thighs. Does this happen anyway with ageing (I didn’t have it when fat aged 28!)? Will it go away if I lose more fat? My concern is that I’d need to lose about another 2 stone to get rid of it and my face, stomach, chest and bum would be far too skinny then.

I don’t think it’s loose skin as the skin itself isn’t crepey.

AIBU to think it will go with more weight loss?

I should add that my thighs are slightly muscular in a good way under the remaining fat. I do a lot of cycling.

I think you would be best advised to get a personal trainer so they can give you advice and exercise to tackle your "problem" areas

You've lost a hellava lot of weight. It might be loose skin that has been stretched with the fat, and now can't shrink to fit your smaller body? You can have an operation to remove the skin but I don't think it comes on the NHS.

You might be like me. My legs are the shape of upturned champagne bottles. I would prefer they were like upturned riesling bottles but that’s life.

No it's not going to go with excersise. Either learn to live with it (my choice) or pay for surgery.
