And the weather forecast is awful (SW) - thunder, heavy rain. I understand he is keen to get away as has been busy at work and we have a short window before his sister comes to visit (which he invited) so need to make the best of it.

But it will be hell Sad He things it will be Ok the next day and we will be set up. I think he is mad and anyway he arranged his sister's visit. and we need to go for less. He can also get on with some things he wants to do before his sister comes (fixing electric fittings and the shower re previous post about extreme cleaning / tidying)

He really does have unrealistic expectations...he is the same at work. Yes i might let him go with the DC. I will see.

I’d go and not say a word.. then when you get back wish him luck with sorting the house out in the ridiculous amount of time he’s given himself and take the kids out lol

We spent 385 consecutive nights camping all around Europe between 5 June 2017 and 15 June 2018 before eldest DS began school in September 2018. We camped in all weathers including snow and thunder and 24 hours daylight in the Arctic.

Love it! Do it! Camping in an electrical storm is one of those life experiences which shouldn’t be missed.

Let him go, don't be a buzz kill, he may even not want to go when he thinks about it, camping is amazing fun though the fresh air the change of scenery the back to nature basics, the spontaneity of a quick getaway with just a piece of canvas between you and the twinklers (stars) be adventurous even in terrible weather you might have a memorable and enjoyable time
