Am at the town large play-park with DS’s 11 and 8. They and some other kids keep looking hopefully at the basket swing but no one can go on it as a grown woman is laid stretched out sunbathing on it. She glances at the kids but doesn’t move. The kids are too polite to say anything but I think she should flipping well make way. Sign on the entrance says equipment for up to age 15. Would IBU to tell her to shift herself?

I'm edging towards the 'stand so you cast shade on her' if she won't move after being politely asked.

But really I'd be hustling home asap to grab the kids water soaker guns and play with them , using HER for cover !!!!! LOL :)

I'd tell her to shift and if she complained would point out the signs. If she still didn't shift, then she's fair game for all the kids to jump on with her.

Right well eventually we all stood there with arms folded and I said please can the kids have a turn. She pretended to be asleep! So I said it louder. Still no movement. So I paused and said in a panicked tone “OMG that wasn’t your bag that has just been snatched was it”. That moved the fucker She’s now skulking by the splash park and giving me evils 😁

I did this the other day - group of teens playing on the swings, my 6yo wanted a go on the basket swing where one of the teens was lying flat out with earphones in. I just asked her politely if she would mind letting my 6yo have a go, she got off no problem. DOn't know what I would have done if she hadn't, mind!

This annoys me just sitting on the sofa reading it. I would have been fuming at her selfishness if I was in that park and when I’m fuming I start to swear a lot 😂
