That I haven’t made my bed and now I have to lie in it

Husband has taken sheets off bed. Must now remake bed but instead of which I am drinking a glass of red wine while watching my first ever Line of Duty. Can I really enjoy knowing the climbing inside duvet mountain ahead of me...

Sleep inside the duvet cover itself. That’s top and bottom cover sorted in one!

isittooearlyforgin · 26/07/2019 22:18

I don’t feel safe without a duvet. I’m weird. I sweat profusely but feel very protected

If you've just discovered Line of Duty you won't need to bother making the bed as you will be up most of the night watching it. Just nap in a chair. Grin

wtffgs · 26/07/2019 22:29

I never sleep without a cover but it is beyond hot and muggy. Sid the duvet, sleep in your pants and wake up with a muggy head from the Wine 😄

Isatis · 26/07/2019 22:29

If you must have a duvet cover, put the cover on this way -

Batshittery · 26/07/2019 22:29

Sleep inside the the duvet cover
That, boardwalk, is pure genius Grin

Loveislandaddict · 26/07/2019 22:31

I thought this was going to be a deep and meaningful relationship situation, not to do with bedding!

rosegoldwatcher · 26/07/2019 22:36

@Loveislandaddict

I know!
It is refreshing isn't it!
(Too hot for deep and meaningful.)

isittooearlyforgin · 26/07/2019 22:47

I can be deep and meaningful, honestly! I’ve slept with with my husbands best friend. Will that do?

OP posts:
isittooearlyforgin · 26/07/2019 22:47

Not really...

Two sets should be mandatory, he who strips the bed, remakes the bed immediately after, then puts the dirty set in the wash.

Percypigparade · 26/07/2019 23:06

Where can you watch the first ever line of duty?

rosegoldwatcher · 26/07/2019 23:10

@Percypigparade
Netflix. Just checked.

Percypigparade · 26/07/2019 23:29

Thanks Rosegold! Looks like that's the next month sorted for me then!

longtompot · 27/07/2019 00:01

I've done this before. It ends up with me not enjoying the evening knowing I need to wrestle with my kingsize duvet & cover (pillows and sheet are fine), and then when I go to bed I end up all hot and bothered after making the bed that I don't even get to savour the clean bedding bliss.
I made my bed this evening, before settling down with wine, and now I shall head off to bed knowing its all crisp and fresh air scented Grin night

isittooearlyforgin · 27/07/2019 00:17

@longtompot you shall reap what you have sewn!

Boardwalk is right - get in the duvet cover and don't worry. It will be nice and cool and you can watch LOD and enjoy your wine.
As a side note, people who strip the beds but don't remake them are on the same level as people who take the bin bag out without replacing it afterwards. Fills me with rage.

Ontheboardwalk · 27/07/2019 00:53

Has your husband washed, ironed (only thing I iron) and put back on the bedding by now?

If not I hope you’re wrapped up in the duvet cover and he’s got the scratchy mattress and bare duvet for the night.

Agree with marcia people who strip but don’t make the bed are the lowest of the low

S0CKS · 27/07/2019 06:48

I told my now dh I couldn't make a bed once it's stripped when we first set started living together and made a right tit of it since then dh does it all the time! Just sleep on top!
